Biography
Menasseh didn't set out to make music. He set out to survive.
He is an independent recording artist, songwriter, producer, screenwriter, director, and actor from San Jose by way of Seattle and Las Vegas. His work blends hip-hop, soul, and cinematic storytelling into long-form narrative projects, each one written, performed, and art-directed frame by frame under his own imprint, Hessanem Media.
His debut mixtape SUPERNOVA began as a survival process: a document of pressure, loss, faith, and transformation. Like the death of a star, the project lives in the tension between collapse and creation, asking what it means to lose an old self and step into something larger. Ten tracks, one arc. Fire does not only destroy; it reveals.
The precision is no accident. By day Menasseh is a Cornell-trained biomedical engineer and program manager, and he runs his catalog with the same discipline, from the writing to the rights. His debut single “The Ember that Spoke” drew international press and 13,000 streams as a fully independent release. The follow-up, “The Chosen One,” was selected for Holy Culture Radio's Weight or Wait voting show ahead of its November 13 release.

Spotlight release
A defiant, anthemic conscious hip-hop single: brass-heavy hooks, high-energy delivery, and a chant chorus built for anyone forced to shrink to belong. For fans of KB, NF, and Kendrick Lamar's “Alright.”
